A couple of players (Chris Dixon and Harry James) will be staging an event outside Argos in Cwmbran town centre on Saturday 14th July. They'll be there from 10AM to 4PM, playing games etc. to try to garner some public interest in chess. If you'd like to support them and help out, please contact Harry.

The new season starts soon and the fixture lists are available. For convenience I have added Google calendars of fixtures for each club. To see these, please look at each club's page.
Rule Change for 2017-2018 Season
At the recent AGM it was decided that a new time control will be used for all division 1 matches. In Division 1 of the Gwent Four-board League the time limit shall be all moves in one hour, with an increment of 30 seconds per move.
